It exists because most supply-chain and recession data is either locked behind expensive terminals or written for economists. The numbers that shape your fuel bill and grocery prices are public — they just need translating.

Ground rules

• Plain English first. Every number gets a one-sentence human explanation.
• Correlation is not causation. We say "changed since the crisis began", never "because of the crisis".
• Every number is traceable. Source, observation date, and last-updated shown on everything.
• Missing means missing. If a data feed fails, we show "data unavailable" — never a stale number dressed up as fresh.
• Free, official sources only. No scraped paid content, no licensed indexes.

Who runs it

An independent project, run privately and free of charge, built and operated with AI assistance. It has no sponsors, sells nothing, and takes no positions in any market.
